Allied Hosts Leeds Rhinos Star
Allied Glass yesterday welcomed former professional rugby league player Rob Burrow to its Normanton site.
Hosted by Philip Morris, a director at Allied and children from Saint Botolph’s school in Knottingley, Rob who revealed in December that he is suffering with Motor Neuron Disease, chatted with the children before signing rugby balls and having his photography taken with the very excited group.
Philip Morris says:
“It was a great privilege for me to meet Rob as he is a true rugby league great. In recent weeks, with help from the Knottingley Rugby Union Football Club Allied has been fundraising, auctioning a bottle of Game Time Vodka signed by Rob. A truly unique prize, we would like to thank all those who supported our efforts including James Rawson and the team at Digraph who won the auction, all the money raised being donated to virginmoneygiving.com/fund/robburrow.”
