Allied Supports Tag Rugby Competition

After a recent visit by Mark Sutcliffe, one of Allied’s Production Planners, to St Botolph’s school in Knottingley, he became aware that the school did not have the space to hold sports tournaments.  So, when they planned to hold an inter school tag rugby competition, he offered the use of Knottingley Rugby Union Club’s ground, which they gratefully accepted.  Then, as part of the growing partnership between Allied Glass and the school, Alan Henderson offered to supply trophies for each child, a winners’ cup and to give them their lunch.

A great day, which saw over sixty children enjoying a rugby tournament which they would not have been able to have if it not been for Knottingley RUFC and Allied Glass.

The overall winners were St Botolphs blue team and St Giles A team were runners up.

Congratulations Emily Fisher was player of the tournament.
