A New Library with Books for Knottingley School Donated by Allied

Over the summer holidays a team of builders have been hard at work creating a new library for St Botolph’s CE Academy, Knottingley

What was once a dull, shabby space with delipidated shelving and old books which needed replacing, has been transformed into a bright, open and exciting place for the children to read and enjoy books.  Officially opened by our CEO Alan Henderson, he said:

“I hope all the children and staff are looking forward to using their new library, with a fantastic new room and more exciting and informative books available, I hope it proves very popular with everyone within school.”

The project was completed just before the new school year began, Emma Fisher who is the Assistant Head Teacher co-ordinated the project. She is the English lead at the school and is very passionate about getting children to read:

“It is really important that we provide our students with the very best facilities possible in order to inspire all children to read. We are therefore very grateful for Allied’s incredible donation.”

Mrs Donna Adams, Headteacher concluded:

“We are delighted to connect with Allied Glass and the books they have bought us means that all of our pupils can now have a book to take home and enjoy. It’s a dream come true and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership with them.”
