Spiced Hunter Rum

Stand aside sailors, pirates and sea monsters, the spiced rum category has recently been taken to a new level by the launch of Spice Hunter, ‘the boldest spiced rum in the world’.

The rum, which is housed in the extra white flint glass Titus bottle from Allied’s premium standards range, has a chunky wooden topped stopper which compliments the bold presentation with a very vivid orange, white and black colour scheme.

The man in the boat featured on the front label is an 18th century “Spice Hunter” called Pierre Poivre.  Wounded whilst fighting the British, he recovered from losing an arm on the Dutch-owned islands of Indonesia. Whilst there, he saw the abundance of nutmegs and cloves growing, which he began smuggling to start a botanical garden on his Mauritian homeland.
