Prince of Wales Hospice Gin Bottle

Prince of Wales Hospice

Allied Glass has always actively encouraged its employees to be involved in fundraising for community projects, Philip Morris, Allied’s International Sales and Marketing Director, says:

“At Allied Glass we are committed to helping make our local community a better place to live in.  That is why we encourage staff to play active roles in local charities, groups and organisations to improve the lives of people in the West Yorkshire area, whether helping local sports clubs, helping to deliver community projects or fundraising to support good causes.”

One of the lasting community partnerships Allied has is with the Prince of Wales Hospice, the company and its employees having been enthusiastic supporters of the Hospice for  over 26 years, the company’s fundraising efforts having reached over £55,000 which has undoubtedly made a meaningful impact to the work of the organisation. Philip continues:

“Over the years we have built a very close working relationship with the team at The Prince of Wales Hospice, our staff having organised and taken part in some remarkable events including running in Santa outfits, walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks and undertaking epic bike rides, all to raise vital funds.  We have most recently worked with the Hospice to create a unique bottle to celebrate 30 years since it opened its doors to the first patients.”

Designed, manufactured and then decorated by Allied Glass the beautiful bespoke bottles of gin, which are a limited edition of only 30, were launched by Allied in June and are an amazing tribute to the Hospice’s history individually boxed and complete with a certificate of authenticity.   Philip continues:

“All the events and projects we undertake for the Prince of Wales are extremely well supported by the whole Allied Glass team, our staff giving generously of both their time and money, which has enabled us to raise much needed funds for this very worthy cause which supports people in the Pontefract area with life limiting illnesses and their families.”
