The 100ml bottle, has been used by The Glenmorangie Company to create stunning gift packs. These packs contain four bottles showcasing the new core range of delicious single malt Scotch whisky; Glenmorangie Original (Ten Years Old) and the sumptuous Extra Matured Range - The Lasanta, The Quinta Ruban & The Nectar D'Or which have been matured for an extra period in specially selected casks that previously held Sherry, Port and Sauternes wine.
To be sold globally, both of the bottles were launched in August 2007.
Notes to Editors
Introducing the Extra Matured Range
Replacing the Wood Finish Range, the Glenmorangie Extra Matured Range is a range of three expressions of Glenmorangie that are: -
Initially matured for ten years in ex-bourbon oak casks, then extra matured for a further period in another cask to offer a different range of flavours.
All bottled at 46% ABV and non chill-filtered to enhance the taste, mouthfeel and texture.
New Packaging
New bottles, labels and outer packaging for all the range.
Introduction of a new brand emblem, the Glenmorangie 'Signet' - inspired by the Cadboll Stone.
The Cadboll Stone, originally standing on the Glenmorangie House estate, is an 8th century standing stone intricately carved by the ancient civilisation that then ruled northern Scotland, the Picts. The bottom panel of the stone has an intricate 'kaleidoscopic' design that Glenmorangie has used to symbolise the complex, multi-layered nature of the Glenmorangie spirit. This has been adopted as the new brand emblem - the Glenmorangie 'Signet'.
Glenmorangie Ten Years Old refined as Glenmorangie Original (Ten Years Old).
