Celtic Beauty for Caorunn Gin

International Beverage UK (Inver House Distillers) has recently launched Caorunn Gin, a new super- premium gin brand, in a beautiful flint glass bottle manufactured by Allied Glass.

Originally designed by the international brand specialists Navyblue, this beautiful piece of glass packaging was influenced by the Scottish art nouveau movement, which in turn took reference from Celtic knots. Each of the five sides of the pentagonal shaped bottle represents one of the key Celtic botanical ingredients. This is then threaded through to the five-pointed asterisk, or brand mark, which takes influence from the base of the red Rowan Berry.

The Celtic word for 'established' is used on the neck label to highlight the distillery heritage. The wooden closure features the botanical wheel, which shows the direct relationship from each point of the embossed asterisk. Each of the Celtic botanicals have been individually illustrated and subtly placed behind the logo-type on the transfer.

A small batch distilled Scottish Gin, Caorunn is distilled at Balmenach Distillery, a working Scottish distillery, which traces its origins back to 1824 - making it one of the oldest distilleries in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands.

"We are extremely excited to be launching Caorunn, a truly Scottish Gin, which is made at a working malt whisky distillery," said Iby Bakos, Brand Manager. "The perfectly balanced recipe of eleven hand-picked botanicals - ensures a naturally balanced flavour that works perfectly in cocktails. We are confident it will attract the attention of bar tenders and mixologists alike."
