Starpack Success for Allied Glass

Allied Glass Containers has recently celebrated a 'double success' with G & J Greenalls Bloom bottle at this year's annual Starpack Awards, organised by the IOP: Institute of Packaging, to recognise achievements throughout the packaging industry.

This is the first time the Yorkshire glass container manufacturer has entered the Best Luxury Product Design category. In this prestigious section, the Bloom bottle was awarded the Gold Star, the judges commenting:

"A truly beautiful bottle with a great shape set off by intricate embossing. The neck label with its beautiful black lattice effect was very impressive."

As the winner of the Best Luxury Product Design category, the Bloom bottle was automatically entered for Designer/Design House of the Year, the bottle once again taking the Gold prize. The judges summed up the Bloom bottle by saying:

"Challenging current manufacturing standards this sleek, elegant jewel-cut bottle features intricate embossing which accentuates the aromatic, feminine and natural character of this upmarket gin."

It was the judges' unanimous winner.

The awards were presented in Birmingham on the 30th September 2009.
