A Beautiful Bottle For Kingdom
Allied Glass Containers, the Leeds based glass packaging specialist, has recently developed and manufactured a stunning bottle for The Edrington Group's partnership Scotch brand Kingdom.
The elaborate 450ml bottle is aimed expressly to appeal to the image conscious Korean market, targeting all the top-end night clubs in Seoul and other Korean cities. Therefore, the design for the packaging is in keeping with this ultra-sophisticated retail environment and reflects the high value that wealthy Korean consumers are prepared to pay for premium spirits.
From a production stance, this stunning bottle was complex for Allied to produce. This was primarily due to the intricacy of the curves and facets and the challenge of achieving good glass distribution for such an extreme shape. Philip Morris, Allied's Sales and Marketing Director, says:
"This was a demanding project which required our Design department to work very closely with The Edrington Group. The latest 3D design technology was used to generate the complex mould cavity, this ensuring the correct shape and displacement required to deliver a bottle of exceptional quality and aesthetic appeal."
Although very elaborate, from the outset of bottling, this beautiful bottle has continually successfully run down Edrington's high speed filling lines, with no major handling problems.
